Pucker Up!

This weekend I could not get my lips to behave! This amazing book art sculpture "Lips" by Abadova perfectly captures them. I felt that I was applying a gallon of lip balm without much effect. I admit a little bit of this was due to the amazing smell of my Coconut & Tea Tree Lip Balm but I eventually realized what they needed was a good scrub!
Honey Sweet Sugar Lips

Sugar scrubs are perfect for lips: they exfoliate the skin and get your lips ready to absorb the balm and they taste amazing (so if a little gets on your tongue who can complain?)
1 TBSP Brown Sugar
1 TBSP Honey
2-3 Drops of Vanilla Essence
Mix all together and apply to lips in small circular motions.
I added 2 drops of Rosehip oil to help the moistening process (and I tried really hard not to eat it because of this!)
Fun Fact
In the early 1880s, Dr. Charles Browne Fleet, a physician and pharmacological thinker from Lynchburg, Virginia, invented ChapStick as a lip balm. The handmade product, which resembled a wickless candle wrapped in tin foil, was sold locally, and did not have much success.
